Since the death of the runcam HD 3 (due to gorpo who sued runcam for the design), runcam has been working on an alternative which one could argue could be better.  The runcam split allows you to send real time (ultra low latency) analgoue video for FPV video while recording HD footage onto the onboard SDcard.
