Important Safety Notes before you Fly your Multicopter

Thank you for purchasing your multi rotor  frame from Unmanned Tech.  We are certain you will be happy with your new frame, but please read through some basic safety information to make sure you or no-one else gets hurt. You must remember that the blades can spin in excess of 4000RPM which can lead to serious injury or property damage.  We have given some basic tips to increase your safety awareness, please make sure you follow them!  If you are doing any testing or configuration, make sure to remove the propellers as they can unexpectedly turn on and cause damage to you or your property.

Safety Notes

  1. Please make sure you use this product within the limits permitted by local laws and regulations.  Don’t fly beyond visual line of site or above 400ft (length of football field).
  2. This aircraft is not a toy and requires safety and care when operating.  Do not fly it close to people or buildings as it can lead to serious injury.
  3. Familiarize yourself with the fly environment and any obstacles. Identify any potential hazards such as power lines, cars, people, etc…
  4. Do not fly the aircraft when fatigued, drunk or if your mental state has been compromised as it may cause an accident.
  5. Stay away from wet areas. Do not fly in the rain or wet environments as this can cause electrical device failure. Do not fly at night or in windy conditions.
  6. Stay away from any fire resulting in damage of the electronic parts or others such as the flight battery.
  7. Do not fly alone during your preliminary flights. If you need help, please enlist the aid of an experienced pilot before flying for the first time.
  8. Prepare rescue tools such as cell phones or other communication devices, should you need to call for help.
  9. Ensure all the equipment operates correctly before flight and that there is no transmitter interference or conflicts.
  10. 10.Do not touch any moving or powered parts. Do not try to catch the quadcopter. Keep loose clothing away from moving parts as they may get caught and could cause physical harm.
  11. Remove the propellers when testing the remote device or motors operation.  Attach the propellers after you have tested that everything is working correctly.
  12. Assemble the aircraft with accessories provided. We cant be responsible for any accidents resulting from assembly with other  accessories or modifications.

Pre-Flight Checklist

  1. Please check the condition of all the parts as they will get worn with age.  Make sure you also check the assembly of your frame, ensuring that all the screws and bolts are securely fastened.
  2. Ensure the propellers are secured properly (you don’t want them falling off during a flight).
  3. Ensure the receiver is receiving a strong signal and is secured in place.
  4. Make sure the battery is secured tightly and will not slip out during flight.
  5. Check that the motors and ESC are secured onto the frame and spin smoothly.
  6. Before take-off make sure your transmitter channels are configured correctly and not reversed.
