ArduPilot Mega 2.5 Case assembly tips

The new APM 2.5 enclosure, available in both top pin and side pin styles. It's designed to keep your electronics safe while looking great at the same time! The enclosure is made of black translucent ABS plastic so you can see the board's LEDs. It protects your electronics while allowing access to all pins and connectors. The inside of the enclosure is lined with ESD safe open cell foam to ensure the barometric pressure sensor is surrounded by static air and prevent unwanted readings due to airflow over the sensor. And the screws that secure the enclosure have been moved to the top for ease of use.

Top Entry Case

The top pins APM 2.5 enclosure contains the following:

• *Enclosure
  
• *M2x7mm x3
  
• *M2x11mm x1
  
• *Foam

• Remove the backing from  the foam and adhere to the top part of the enclosure as shown
  
• Make sure the foam is right up against the APM Inputs. 
  
• Place the reset button in the Reset hole as shown.
  

• Place your APM 2.5 over the top of the enclosure.
• Place the bottom of the enclosure over your APM 2.5 . 
  
• Note: Make sure the USB and GPS line up with the grooves on the bottom part of the enclosure.
  

• Turn over and secure the enclosure using the four M2 screws provided. 
  
• Note: the longer screw goes on the top right corner.
  

Side Entry Case

The side pins APM 2.5 enclosure contains the following:

• *Enclosure
  
• *M2x7mm x3
  
• *M2x11mm x1
  
• *M3x3mm x4
  
• *Rubber 
  
• Washer x4
  
• *Foam
  

• Secure the APM 2.5 board to the bottom of the enclosure using the four M3 screws and rubber washers. 
  
• Note: Make sure the USB and GPS connectors line up with the grooves in the bottom part of the enclosure.
  

• Remove the backing from the foam and adhere to the top part of the enclosure as shown.
  
• Make sure the foam is right up against the APM Inputs.
  
• Place the reset button in theReset hole as shown
  

• Place the bottom part of the enclosure and APM25 over the top part of the enclosure as shown.
  

• Turn over and secure the enclosure using the four M2 screws provided. Note: the longer screw goes on the top right corner.
