If you are looking for some great multicopter motors for your next build then you should definately consider our new 530Kv Multicopter motors. They can run on 3-5s lipo battery and can need 20A ESC's. They can be used with 14inch propellers for maximum efficiency. We have also added a couple more products to the shop as shown below.
If you are looking for an easy way to take photos in the air you should have a look at our IR camera Triggers. They allow you to take photos with your camera remotely without needing to either hack your camera, use a servo, or use modified firmware. You just need to plug this into a spare channel on your receiver, or a spare output on your flight controller. In order to improve customer service, we have now added a new tab on all of the product pages that allow you to ask or search for questions about our products directly on the product page!. With time we hope that this will allow our customers to easily find answers to some common questions we receive about some products. You can also help us out if you want by answering other customers questions (we will reward helpful community members!) We now have a newer version of the FPV550 frame (also known as the spacewalk 550) This new version has the same basic layout, but with some extra cut-outs it is much ligher and now weighs less than 400g! (frame only) Making it one of the lightest platforms for an FPV quadcopter. This is a great frame for FPV use as it has a dedicated gopro/ HD action camera mount at the front, with battery tray at the back. The front arms are spaced to avoid the propellers getting in the way of your video. There is also loads of space in the fuselage for all your FPV gear and flight controller. The YS-X4 is a professional level multi rotor autopilot, this is little brother of the YS-X6, with many of the same features. The main advantage of the X4 over the X6 is that the IMU and Flight Computer are now integrated into a single box, reducing the size and weight of your setup. The enclosure is made from CNC metal and is very strong so it will protect the autopilot should find yourself in a unfortunate situation. The YS-X4 supports the coolest features compared to any other autopilot system on the market (many more features than DJI Wookong). All the YS-X4 kits come with a power module/monitor that supplies a regulated supply to the autopilot, and also monitors your battery usage. The power module supports 2S~6S Lipo Batteries.
Features include way-point navigation click & go/target lock, follow me, and circle point. The other great feature that you can use with this is the Android Phone/Tablet ground station that allows you to configure, and fly your multi rotor directly from your android device, you can also plan mission, and set way-points on the fly. Currently this is only possible within the range of Wifi but a longer range data radio will be released soon. There are 3 main versions of the YS-X4, but we will only be selling the wifi and navigator versions.
Its also good to know that you are also able to upgrade your Wifi versions to the navigator version at anytime. The YS-X4 Navigator version unlocks additional software features
If you where wondering why our 1KG camera gimbal has been out of stock for a few weeks, this is your answer. The gimbal has been re-designed to be lighter and more rigid to help get the most stable videos. Other small features include additional servo mounting plates to be compatible with a wider range of servos. This gimbal works great with the Futaba 3003/3001 servos but are equally capable with the PowerHD servos that we sell. Just to let everyone know that our new website is now live! Everything should be working correctly but if you do spot something that is not quite right we will appreciate if you could let us know. Hope you like it! If you are wondering about the forums, they are currently offline and we will be activating them again in the next couple of days. This weekend we will be going live with your all new web shop. We have been working on this for the last couple of weeks and it will be active this weekend! Read more for detals
Our MultiRotor ESC and Motors have been out of stock for quite some time now. We are sorry if that has caused problems for any of our customers. He are workign with our suppliers to avoid such long delays in the future. While you have been waiting, we have made some changes to our multi-rotor ESC that now ship with the famous Simon K RapidESC firmware. This firmware is an open source project that aims to develop the best Standard ESCs are actually not designed for multirotor applications. They are programmed to increase and decrease the throttle command towards the motor in a gentle way. The reason for this is quite obvious. Imagine a motor accelerating and decelerating so abruptly in a helicopter or car... it would damage the gears and reductions in no time. In a multirotor application, we really want just the opposite. For the best multi-rotor performance you want to be able to change the motor speed, and thus the thrust, as fast as possible to achieve a perfectly stable platform. While the current ESCs used in most multrotor applications work considerably well, there is a lot of room for improvement. Using the same ESC, but loading it with dedicated optimized software, will increase the handling and stability of your multirotor greatly. The video below shows a comparison between a regular ESC and an ESC with the SimonK firmware. Features

We are happy to announce that we now sell the PX4 autopilot system here in the UK! PX4 is an open-source, open-hardware project aiming at providing a high-end autopilot to the academic, hobby and industrial communities (BSD licensed) at low costs and high availability We started selling our Sirius FPV aircraft at our shop a couple of weeks ago, but now you can buy a motor/esc/prop combo that is designed to work with this aircraft. This Pack includes a 30A ESC, a 1250KV motor and a high quality 7x6 propeller. You can find out more details at the product page for the Sirius motor combo. We have also added some new power distribution options for our multicopters. We offer both Hexacopter, and Quadcopter harnesses that allow you to connect your ESC/battery without needing to solder your own power distribution board. This is great if you are using our range of Unmanned Tech Motors/ESC that already have the connectors pre-soldered!
These harness cables are shorter than the ones we sold before, this means that the cables are lighter and take up less room when connected on your quadcopter/hexacopter. We have just received our latest batch of Crius All on One Pro flight controllers! You would be correct if you are thinking that it looks a little different, that because its the new version 1.1! The minor update includes a reinforced USB port and connectors and a slightly thicker PCB. This new version will still fit the AIO Pro Extension board. We have been posting our news and updates over on the unmmaned tech forums, but due to some limitations we have now decided to continue to use a dedicated blog to be able to post some more interesting updates and posts!
More to come soon.... |
